She broke the kiss and gasped. Gale’s cock stretched her to her limits with his length. What Vic lacked in length, he made up for in girth. The pressure within her built and the first flutters of orgasm renewed.

“Oh my God.” She clawed at his shoulders. She’d never be able to take the both of them at this rate. They had her so close to coming.

“No coming until we say so,” Vic reminded her. “We’re in charge.”

She couldn’t have been in control if she’d have wanted to. The vampire and wolf shifter owned her, body and soul. Soon, they’d realize they owned her heart, too.

“Breathe,” Gale said, his tone low and comforting. He flattened his palm on her lower back, then something cold dribbled between her ass cheeks.

The lube. She gazed into Vic’s pale blue eyes and mustered her strength. Kitty blew out a long breath and focused on the pleasure. Gale eased his finger into her asshole, preparing her for his cock. This was what she loved—both men possessing her at the same time. From her head to her toes, she knew she belonged to them.

Kitty groaned as he pumped his finger in and out of her, creating a rhythm with Vic. When one man plunged into her, the other pulled out. Her legs trembled and her arm muscles twitched. She wasn’t going to be able to hold herself up for much longer.

“We’ve got you,” Vic said. He swiped his tongue along her bottom lip again. “We’ll never hurt you.” He threaded his fingers into her hair and massaged the back of her head. The move relaxed her even more.

Kitty nodded and shuddered as Gale removed his finger. He tapped her asshole with the head of his dick. “I’m ready,” she said. “Make love to me. Make me whole.”

“Ours,” Gale and Vic said in unison. Both men filled her, stretching her cunt and ass to the limits.

Gale sank fully into her as Vic withdrew. His grunts echoed in the room. He held onto her hips, guiding her onto his cock while Vic rocked his body beneath hers.

She clawed at Vic’s shoulders. “I’m…” The rest of her sentence melted away. Rational thought left her brain. Vic and Gale engulfed her.

“Come for us,” Vic said. He tugged on her hair. “Our girl. Come apart.”

“Come, little one,” Gale added. He curled one arm around her and scraped her shoulder with his teeth. “Ours.”

She tilted her head back and panted. The orgasm finally claimed her. Everything sizzled and her arms refused to hold her up any longer. She collapsed against Vic’s chest. The room spun and her belly lurched.

“Rest, babe,” Vic cooed. “We’re here. We won’t let you fall.”

She closed her eyes again. They’d been true to their words. They’d made love to her, instead of a quick fuck or a fuck and feed. She’d felt the love in each movement and word, except the falling part. They’d nudged her over that edge, too. She might not be able to say the words out loud, but she loved her men, body and soul.

  Chapter Three

Vic cradled her against his chest and smoothed his fingers through her hair. Kitty stirred his soul and made his heart sing. His wolf groaned and scratched at him. The animal wanted to move. He sighed. He had kept the wolf caged for a little too long. Time to let the old boy run.

He glanced over at Gale as he withdrew from her body. Gale removed his condom, then flopped onto the bed beside them.

“I can’t wait until we don’t have to use rubbers any longer. They’re a pain in the ass,” Vic said. “How do you feel, babe?”

“I can’t move,” Kitty said, giggling. “Everything feels like jelly.”

“Then we did our job.” Vic eased his deflating erection from her sweet heat, then rolled her onto her back. He smiled at Gale and nodded to the door.

Gale dipped his head once, then cuddled Kitty to his side. He dragged the blanket over their bodies and winked.

The silent gesture told Vic everything he needed to know. The joining had gone according to plan, save for her admitting she loved them. He could live without hearing her actually say the words. He felt the emotion in her every touch, kiss and smile.

Vic stood. He rolled his spent rubber down his limp cock and pitched the condom. He headed into the bathroom for a towel and washcloth. He wiped his hands dry, then wetted the cloth—a gentleman always took care of his partner. He returned to the bedroom and with Gale’s help, cleaned the lube from Kitty’s drowsy body. She splayed her hand on his chest.

“Thank you,” she whispered. “You love me. I don’t deserve it, but I feel it.”

He met Gale’s gaze. They’d managed to prove they loved her. Now they had to convince her she deserved to be happy with them. He rubbed both hands through his hair. Talk about a next-to-impossible task. He didn’t care. He and Gale would find a way to make her see the truth. She deserved nothing less than the best.

Vic arranged the damp wash rag and towel on the rack, then crossed the room to the sliding doors. He stepped nude onto the balcony. No one could see him from his vantage point on the eighth floor. He stretched his arms and cracked his neck. Time to let the beast run. He turned his face to the darkened heavens. For one of the few times since the supernaturals had taken over the world, he wished for moon light. He missed the white glow on the land and the play of shadows.

The wolf clawed at him, but instead of holding back, he allowed the animal free reign. He closed his eyes. His bones popped and shifted form as hair sprouted on his body. His nails extended into claws and calluses formed on his hands and feet for his paw pads. When he opened his mouth, his teeth elongated and a howl ripped from his throat. He crinkled his nose and sniffed the air. The scent of sex wafted on the breeze, but so did the smell of Kitty’s perfume. He glanced over his shoulder at Kitty and Gale’s sleeping forms. He’d protect them both with his life.

Vic dug his claws into the concrete and stretched again. He needed to run and jump. Too much pent up energy flowed through him. He swished his tail, then broke into a run around the balcony. The chilly night air ruffled his fur as he moved. He bounded up the concrete stairs to the smaller second story balcony. From the higher position, he could see down onto the town below.

Despite being above most of the other dwellings in the city, he heard the gunfire in the streets. He didn’t need super senses to see the pain and suffering of the humans. He couldn’t change the entire world, but he could change life for Kitty. He and Gale had the power to rescue her. He shook his head and snorted. He needed to be with his mates.

Vic climbed down from the lofty height, then padded into the penthouse. With Kitty curled against his side and very much asleep, Gale had folded his free arm against his chest and assumed the position of death. Both looked angelic in sleep. Still in wolf form, Vic stretched out beside them. He dragged his tongue across her cheek and rubbed his face on Gale’s hand to mark them both. They belonged to him and his wolf. He closed his eyes.

He settled his mind, but a vision soon formed. The dreams usually didn’t bother him. In his visions, he saw the future—or a version of the future. Three figures came into clear view. Gale and Kitty waved to him. He saw himself joining them in an office room. An office? The penthouse didn’t have an office. Then where were they?

“No,” Kitty screamed. She darted from Gale’s arms and ran from the room. “You won’t do this to me.”

Who wouldn’t do what? Vic wondered. A gray shadow slipped from view. Who was that?

“Not on my watch,” Gale shouted. He disappeared in a blur.

Fuck. He’d never catch up to the vampire at full speed. Vic shifted into his wolf form. The animal had a better chance of keeping pace, but still…a pissed-off vampire would be hard to catch.

Vic pounded the ground, not entirely sure where he was but trying desperately to find his mates. Where were they? He ran through the darkness toward the only light. He’d been told once when a human died, their energy poured out in a solitary glow until their soul passed, too. Kitty? Shit. He ran until his lungs burned.

“Jesus, no.” Gale’s strangled cry stopped
Vic in his tracks.

Vic shook his head and forced the animal to keep going until he reached them. Once he did, he wished he’d have run faster. Gale lay on the ground, his arms and legs akimbo and his head rendered clean from his body.

Vic wobbled on his feet. His friend, his partner…dead. He reached for Kitty. Instead of her grabbing his hand, she slumped to the ground. Her light hovered above her body in a yellow glow. She looked at Vic, then closed her eyes. Red seeped down her negligee and the line bisected her throat. His stomach lurched. He’d lost them both.

“You stepped in where you weren’t wanted,” a voice said.

Vic’s ears perked. He’d heard that man speak before. He shifted into his human form. “You killed my mates,” he spat. “You took them from me.”

Something flashed and caught Vic’s attention. He jerked. A knife. Holy fuck. Blood dripped from the blade.

“I’m going to kill you, too, wolf,” the man said.

“The fuck you will,” Vic shouted. He kicked at the unseen figure and wished he could get a better look at the man. If he could see the guy, then he’d know who to kill. “Asshat.” He thrashed again, but this time connected with something hard. He blinked. What had hit him? Where was the guy? Fuck…where was Vic?

His eyes adjusted to the light and he panted. The room wasn’t the unknown office or pitch blackness. He recognized his surroundings. The bed, the people in the covers… He was back in their penthouse and on the floor. The whole episode had been a nightmare. He sighed. When he’d thrashed around to fight off the unseen attacker, he’d fallen out of bed. Tumbling from the sheets was much better than accidentally kicking or hurting Gale or Kitty. He glanced up at them one more time to be sure they were both unharmed—alive in Kitty’s case and still in one piece in Gale’s. Satisfied with what he’d seen, he settled on the floor against the nightstand.

Vic stood and stretched, then climbed back under the covers. He wrapped an arm around Kitty’s smaller frame. His fingertips trailed over Gale’s ribcage. Instead of pulling away, Gale draped his arm across both Vic and Kitty and made a sound that was a cross between a moan and a sigh. Vic closed his eyes. Maybe he was fucked up, but he had to be part of that pair. Kitty fulfilled their needs as a third. She completed the triad beautifully.

At least the deaths weren’t real—not for now. He thrust both hands into his hair. He was getting too old for the visions and not knowing what would really happen in the future. He wanted his mates. When they all awoke, he’d make sure they took the woman they loved as their own. No more waiting.

Kitty jerked when the bed dipped. She opened her eyes just a bit in order to see what the heck Vic was doing. He’d fallen out of bed. Was this what they did when she wasn’t around?

The bracelet around her ankle heated. Until that moment, she’d forgotten she’d been wearing the jewelry. She gritted her teeth and waited for Vic to settle again. The temperature increased. Shit. She needed to figure out why the damned thing was burning.

Kitty moved Vic’s arm, then shimmied out from under the covers. She wished she could stay forever between the two men, but her duties at the club had to come first. She hurried into the bathroom and shut the door. Once in the privacy of the other room, she switched on the light. The bracelet glowed red. Words flashed on the tiny screen.

  Time’s up.

What? She sat on the edge of the claw-foot tub. What time was up? Her blood ran cold. Her time with them had come to a close. The bracelet served as a safeguard to ensure she came back. Damn it.

She had to return to the Store Front. She rubbed her bare arms. Her clothes were somewhere in the darkness of the bedroom. If she only had to deal with Gale, she could turn on the lights. Once the vampire succumbed to his sleep cycle, only the end of the cycle could wake him. Vic was another matter. The wolf had to know she’d left the bed. He could probably feel her fear and unease. Still, William would kill her if she didn’t come back. He’d find her. William didn’t give up until he reclaimed his possessions, and she wasn’t a human to him. He owned her.

Kitty summoned her courage. Her heart broke for her men. She wanted to stay there with them. Instead, she forced herself to keep moving. She snatched one of Gale’s dress shirts. The garment would have to work. She draped a belt around her waist and turned the shirt into a makeshift dress. Where were her shoes? She wasn’t sure.

The bracelet burned even more, sending a dull ache straight along her leg. She was running out of time. William could be a decent vampire, but he hated when he lost business. If she didn’t come back, he’d use the bracelet to track her. When he found her, he’d kill Vic and Gale, then beat her until she agreed never to leave him again. She loved her men and refused to see them killed because of her not following the rules. Kitty finger-combed her hair, then blew her men a kiss. She needed to go. Tears blurred in her eyes as she hurried through the penthouse to the elevator. She pressed the buttons and waited for the car.

Maybe they’d realize she was gone. They’d come for her. She listened for their footsteps on the carpet. Please let them come for me. She turned, then ran back to their door, but the knob wouldn’t turn. Locked out. The tears behind her eyes stung and slipped down her cheeks. Nothing short of an act of God would save her.

The elevator doors opened and the bellman nodded once. “Ground floor?”

“Yes, please.” She stepped into the car, but didn’t look at his face. Shame washed over her. She wasn’t even wearing her shoes. The first time she’d been out of the Store Front in years and she looked like garbage. The elevator car descended the building quickly, making her stomach lurch. She swallowed back bile—not only from the ride, but knowing what she had to do.

When the elevator stopped, the doors opened. “Ground floor,” the bellman said.

“I don’t have any money for your tip,” she whispered. “I’m sorry.”

“Go home to the Store Front, human. You’ll be safer there.” He glared at her. “You don’t belong here.”

She clutched the front of the shirt tight to cover herself and hurried out of the car. The bellman was right. She didn’t belong there. The apartment building catered to the supernaturals. Looking the way she did, she stuck out. The bellman probably smelled her fear, or at least the fact that she wasn’t a shifter or vampire.

Once out on the street, she paused. How was she going to get across town to the Store Front? She had no money, which meant no cab fare. She shook her head. The bracelet singed her skin, reminding her she needed to get out of there.

“There you are.” William strode up to her. His rough features twisted into a frown. “They were done with you, weren’t they?” He grabbed her arm. “Come on home, hon. You’ve always got a place with me.”

She could fight him, but why bother? The Store Front was safer than being alone on the streets. Besides, she’d run away from Vic and Gale. If they actually wanted her back, she’d be shocked. Most human women wouldn’t have thrown away the chance to have supernatural lovers…but she had.

“They don’t love you.” William wrapped one arm around her and gripped her arm in his other hand. He strode forward and bounced into the air.

Her heart pounded. She’d forgotten about his vampire abilities. William had never asked to feed from her. Then again, she’d never really gotten a read on him—either he talked sweet to her or barked orders. The world raced by in a blur of black, gray and the occasional spear of light. Within seconds, they stood at the main door of the Store Front.

“Now you’re where you belong. No one will hurt you now.” William tightened his grasp on her and escorted her through the club. Maddox waved, but Kitty didn’t have the chance to say anything. Kitty reached for the door to her private room, only to have William push her away.

“But that’s my room,” she said. “I need to get dressed.”

“Not any longer. I’m tired of waiting for you.” William shoved her into another room. “You’re mine.”

  “Wait. What?” She chased
after him. “Why are you doing this to me? I thought you liked me.”

“It’s quite simple.” William grasped her wrists in one hand and snapped the fingers of his other. A set of metal handcuffs appeared. “You are here to feed the vampires and to give the shifters sex. No one said a damn thing about falling for them. You’re nothing to them, but you’re everything to me.” He slammed her wrists into the cuffs. “From now on, you’re not leaving the club.” He looped the connecting chain on the cuffs over a hook on the wall, preventing her from escaping. He then knelt at her feet and removed the bracelet. “As far as your vampire and wolf know, you’re dead.” He stood and glared at her. “No one takes my stuff.”

“I know.” She was little more than an object to him. Her spirit shattered. She’d been a good worker and had begun her return when the band seared her leg and she’d still managed to get dicked over.

“Yes, sweetheart,” he said, but the pet name sounded more like an insult. “You were supposed to mate with me and fall for me. Since you didn’t, I’m changing fate back.” He cupped her jaw in his hand, his fingers biting into her cheek, and kissed her. When she didn’t encourage the kiss, he let go of her face only to flatten his palm across her cheek in a slap. “Do not disobey me.”

Kitty wobbled and stars exploded in front of her eyes. Blood flooded her mouth. “Yes, sir,” she murmured, dazed by the slap.

He let go of her and twirled the keys around his finger, then stomped out of the windowless room.

Kitty sagged in the cuffs and pulled against the hook. Even if she stood on her toes, she couldn’t free the chain from the iron hook. She debated screaming, but what for? No one would hear her. The tears flowed freely. She could still smell the scent of Gale’s cologne on the shirt. She should’ve bucked the rules and stayed with them.

“I’m sorry,” she murmured to herself. “I never should’ve doubted myself or how I felt.” She closed her eyes. “You can’t hear me, but I’m sorry. I want to come home. I want to be safe.” I love you.
